Web sites have taken over from Yellow Pages as the principal source of business enquiries so they are key to most businesses. However, if your site isn’t on page one of Google hardly anyone will visit you even if your website is brilliant.
Often referred to as SEO, Search Engine Optimisation is more or less what it suggests. It means ‘tuning’ your site to appear on page one of a Google search for certain words and phrases. Page one on a Google search can make a huge difference for most businesses because that’s how people look for services now that Yellow Pages has more or less gone.
‘From £250’ may sound like we are cheap but SEO is acutely dependent on your competition. If you only have one or two competitors it is going to be relatively easy to get you on page one for certain search terms or keywords. If you have a hundred competitors it’s going to take a lot of work, it probably won’t be a one off application and it’s going to cost a lot more than £250.

Don’t break the SEO rules!
SEO done badly can result in Google blacklisting your site, effectively closing off your website to new business. This can happen if a company tries to ‘trick’ Google. Such techniques are called ‘Black hat’.
These techniques can work for a short time and then they harm your business. They aren’t suitable for a business that values it’s reputation and we don’t recommend or use those techniques. We only use ‘White hat’ techniques that follow Google guidelines.
Online no one is patient
Three seconds is the longest a page can take to load before users go elsewhere. Google know this and now they are starting to enforce it. Slow loading sites will start to slip further down the search engine results positions (serps). Test your site and see what Google thinks of it. Go to Google Pagespeed Insights and enter your website address. It should be green for mobile and desktop. If it’s orange there’s work to do, if it’s red, well, red isn’t usually good is it?
