Mobile apps come in two flavours, native and hybrid.
Native apps run on Java (Android) and Objective-C (iPhones/iPads), and hybrid apps run on a mixture of web technology. There are a few things that native apps excel at — notably games — but hybrid apps can do most things you’d expect an app to do.
We are relatively new to this relatively new field but not new to the web technology that hybrid apps run on. There are also numerous projects that are bringing apps to mobiles in new ways. Needless to say, we are taking the time to assess the most promising ones.
