Flash and alternatives

Flash is in the wars because the iPhone and iPad – and now most mobile phones –  don’t and won’t support it. Don’t support means the page will be blank – you can guess at what your customers/clients will assume….

That is very serious news for website owners and needs addressing asap – We will check your site for FREE, just contact us with your web address.

But what was it really used for most of the time?

  • video playback
  • fading pictures into other pictures on headers and banners

First, there are better formats for video already being used (including mp4). And secondly, we have multiple solutions that cross fade pictures — all working on iPhones and iPads.

Still has a place

However, Flash is still brilliant for interactive projects that will be run on PCs or Mac desktops. It can include video and can be delivered as a standalone product that requires no host software.

We can produce your custom interactive project using Flash and/or do a Flash-free version. Contact us for details.
